Introduction to ISO 9001:2015 Training
Aimed at creating awareness on UTAR ISO 9001: 2015 procedure for new
and existing staff, UTAR Department of Internal Audit (DIA) organised an Introduction
to ISO 9001:2015 Training at its Sungai Long Campus on 18 April 2024. The
training was delivered by Ir. Prof. Dr. Rajkumar a/l Durairaj, Dean (Academic
Quality Assurance and Audit).
The ongoing training session
This one-day programme provided the participants with basic knowledge
of quality management, an understanding of the quality management system
approach, the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and to enable the participants to
understand the application of the ISO 9001:2015 standard in UTAR.
The training covered important topics in the area of quality. At the beginning of the workshop, the participants were introduced to fundamentals of quality management, tools and techniques. The trainer also introduced International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and ISO 9001:2015 Standard.
A total of 25 staff from various faculties and departments participated in the training.
